How to make pancakes
Here’s a simple recipe to make delicious pancakes:
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk (or more if needed)
1 egg
2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions:
1. Mix dry ingredients In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
2. Mix wet ingredients In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
3. Combine Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. It’s okay if the batter is a little lumpy. If the batter is too thick, add a bit more milk.
4. Preheat skillet Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter or oil.
5. Cook pancakes Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes), then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
